November - Employees of the Month

Happy November and a special FELICIDADES to our employees of the month Kreshonya Porter (@learnwithkresh) from our El Centro location and Tracy-Ann Leslie (@learnwithtracy) from our Montego Bay location! Here's some information about Kreshonya a.k.a Tia Kresh Kreshonya is a new member of Team El Centro and in her short tenure has demonstrated great commitment, dedication and enthusiasm to her kiddies, colleagues and parents. Yes, she really rocks! :-) She's been nicknamed "The Pied Piper" because her children are absolutely enamored by her and literally follow her around all throughout the day. They do what she does (hug each other, carry each others' bags, greet parents, and lots more). Her ideas are awesome and parents and kids tuned in for #PeaWatch2013 as her children planted, charted their pea growth and replanted their peas at home. #PeaWatch2013 was an amazing initiative that worked well with our Jamaican Heritage Theme at the start of October, after all, who doesn't love red peas? Her innovations continued with the types of songs and activities her children were able to do for the entire month of October. Yes, the kids did "signal di plane" as they learnt about hero, Norman Washington Manley as they made a connection to the national airport. And they learnt about the Black Star Liner and made paper boats as they spoke about how Africans came to Jamaica. November has been just as "awesome" as she's reminded us. Kresh has shown her commitment to technology as a teaching tool and has organized and executed SKYPE sessions with schools overseas. This has required lots of coordination and she's been careful in the execution. We love Kresh's energy, her ideas and are delighted to have her be this month's employee of the month at El Centro. Felicidades Tia Kresh! Her transition has been felt by all and is marked with efficiency. You know what they say about smooth transitions?! They facilitate much success:-) Tracy-Ann has worked assiduously with the team and maintains an air of professionalism and a calm demeanor that impresses parents & team members alike. Classroom control isn't easy with very young chicos and chicas but Tracy-Ann manages to keep them engaged and cohesive [We all agree that she has some extra limbs we don'[t know about ;) ]. She continues to impress us with her artistic talents and mellifluous voice. This girl loves to sing! Her passion and patience make working with her an absolute pleasure,  she is eager to learn and grow with our ever evolving company and we appreciate ALL she has done for us and continues to do. She was the recent recipient of several awards at her graduation ceremony from the Sam Sharpe Teachers' College. These include awards in children's literature and early foreign language instruction. She also scored the highest overall in her teaching practice. We are happy to identify ourselves with winners. Well done Tracy-Ann. Follow her on Twitter @learnwithtracy
